About Aaron
Like most of us, Aaron
Coleman got his first taste of fishing as a youngster,
under the watchful eye of his parents, grandparents,
aunts, uncles and cousins. Long before thoughts of
Bass Fishing boats, tournaments and sponsorships entered
his mind, Aaron developed a genuine passion for the
skill, strategy and serenity associated with being
a full-fledged "Angler."
He became fascinated by the tools and tricks of Bass
Angling as a 6 year-old youngster. And his passion
for the sport grew from there. As a young man he was
fishing regional tournaments and was known far and
wide in his Oakland, CA fishing community as the "kid
who can really fish."
In 1999 Aaron realized a life-long dream by entering
the BassMaster's Western Invitational Tournament as
a "Professional Angler." And the rest -as
they say- "is history".
Since turning professional, Aaron Coleman has successfully
competed against the world's greatest Bass Anglers
as an innovator, product spokesman and full-time Pro
Series Tour Professional.
Aaron Coleman's unique combination of skill, knowledge,
personal appeal and approachability have made him
"a natural" on the promotional circuit.
He has a growing list of sponsors and unlimited potential
in the burgeoning outdoor sport of Bass Angling.
About Fishing
Fishing or angling,
as it is often called- may very well be the most widely
known and participated in outdoor sports activity
in the world. It appeals to, and is practical for
people of every age, gender, race, fitness level and
income group. According to the American Sportsfishing
Association there are 44 million people who fish in
the United States, contributing about $116 billion
dollars annually to the nation's economy. And according
to a recent U.S. of Fish & Wildlife Service survey,
there are over 34 million Americans 16 years and older
who fish.
Fishing is big business!
And Bass Fishing is a major portion of America's Sportsfishing
Industry. Bass are found in every state except Alaska.
Texas, Florida, California, Ohio & Illinois are
the top 5 states in Bass membership. And Michigan,
New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia
all rank in the top 20, according to a recent ABC
statement.
The freshwater fishing industry contributes about
$75 billion annually to America's economy.
Those are impressive
numbers which exceed the participation and economic
levels of golf, tennis, soccer and several other major
sports. And with year-round national television exposure
and the current onslaught of Baby Boomers entering
their golden years, Bass Fishing is likely to become
an even more popular pastime!
The Citgo BassMaster and
the Walmart FLW professional circuits are the major
leagues of Bass Fishing. As a fit, focused, phenom on
the Professional tour, Aaron Coleman is poised to become
a major "Angling Personality" and marketer
in the sport.
